As the gateway to Hells Canyon, North America's deepest gorge, Clarkston has the market on recreational opportunities. Outdoor recreationists find the year round mild climate to their liking for golf, hiking, biking, rafting, jet boating, hunting, and fishing top the list of activities on the world-famous Snake River. Our location on the historic Lewis and Clark Trail entices more visitors each year to walk in the footsteps of the explorers.

Events held throughout the calendar year draw thousands to our valley. Sprint boat and mini-hydroplane races, Sunflower Days and Christmas Lighting...there's something for everyone. Your event or conference can be added to the list with valley convention facilities and many hotels to choose from. An RV park on the water allows easy access to the miles of levee paths.
