Smaller than "sister" port districts at Lewiston to the east and Whitman County to the north, the friendly Clarkston staff works hard to be flexible and responsive, and takes pride in the level of personal attention given to current and prospective clients. Twenty businesses employing 350 area residents now operate on Port property.
The Port of Clarkston is an operating port that manages its 120-acre waterfront site for a diversity of business tenants, emphasizing economic development, tourism and recreational development.
- • Deliver property, facilities, and infrastructure that encourage private investment, create wealth for constituents, create family wage jobs, diversify and stabilize the local economy, and create a sustainable environment.
- • Play a leadership role in ensuring that waterfronts are vibrant, active centerpieces for the communities in the locality and partner on improving other tourism and recreation opportunities.
